Born in the mountains of West Africa, Rootman J discovered music at the age of 7 and has been honing his craft ever since. Now based in Belgium, he leads his band, Zionyouth Crew, with unwavering dedication and heart.

His music has set stages ablaze across Africa, Belgium, Europe, and the USA, with standout performances at renowned festivals such as Zwarte Cross, Reggae Geel, Pukkelpop, Afro Caribbean, Lokkersefeest, Sundance, Reggae Jam (DE), Summer Reggae-Milano, Unityfest, Reggae on the River (CA-USA), and many more.
